The Dedicated Ophthalmology Referral Practice

Eye Veterinary Clinic is a dedicated second opinion clinic specialising in all aspects of ophthalmic work.

In all cases referrals are made through a client's home practice with previous history of the eye problem being sent to us prior to the consultation. A full eye examination is carried out with other tests where relevant, and a report sent to an owner's veterinary surgeon. At present this is done by fax but this will soon be available in e-mail form so that it can immediately be added to the home practice's records.

Communication between Eye Veterinary Clinic and referring practices is a key element in providing clients and their pets with the highest possible level of service and care for the animal.

We run consultation clinics by appointment for referrals at the hospoital at Marlbrook throughout the week, as well as consultation clinics at the following practices:

All appointments including for outclinics are made centrally through our main clinic at Marlbrook.

At each of our consultation clinics we are equipped to make a full examination of a pet's eyes and determine the best course of treatment. Further treatment is either carried out that at those outclinics if possible, or at our main clinic at Marlbrook.

The hospital at Eye has two fully equipped operating theatres containing the specialist anaesthetic and theatre equipment necessary to perform intraocular micro-surgery to the high standards comparable to human surgery.
