Hospital Open Day

It is 12 months since we moved into our New Hospital. It has come fully up to our expectations providing us with state of the art facilities for us to work with animal owners and patients. Both operating theatres are fully functional with full anaesthetic monitoring and support equipment. This makes for an efficient working environment and the best possible service for clients and their pets.

Dr Keith Barnett, former head of Ophthalmology at the Animal Health Trust at Newmarket, formally opened the facilities on 6th June unveiling a plaque to celebrate the building of this Eye Hospital. Watch out for a report in the Veterinary Times.

Later in the month on 21st June we held an Open Day for veterinary surgeons and nurses. A number of Commercial Associates set up displays in a marquee on the day which demonstrated how they have helped us develop the hospital to the standards we have over the last 12 months.

Visiting veterinarians and their staff were shown the facilities available at the hosital and were able to see exactly what we are able to see using our range of range of diagnostic and operating equipment. A good response was received from visitors and many questions were asked which we were able to resond to immediately.

Visitors were also able to tour the gardens and look at the wildlife which has already taken up residence on and about the pond - "dragonflies the size of helicopters" was the comment from one guest. Very proud we are of them too!
