Greetings to friends, colleagues and owners This Winter we can celebrate our achievements as we are well into our 3rd year at the Veterinary Eye Hospital at Marlbrook. Apart from being able to share a lovely working environment with owners, our most important achievement is building of our teams of veterinary ophthalmologist and nursing staffs. I am so happy to be able to welcome John Mould and Rick Sanchez to join Lorna and Emma in our team of veterinary ophthalmologists. John joined us in July as our Clinical Director. Rick is a third year ophthalmology resident with his 2005 target the UK and European diploma examinations, so a special Good Luck to him at this time. I also take this opportunity to welcome veterinary nurse Sarah who joins Jo, Melissa and Julie, with Clare is our receptionist. Of course the team is ably led by practice manager Eileen who has been with us for many years. We will be rolling out an in house ocular pathology service in April to share Johns very special expertise in this field. We will very soon also be able to offer vitreo-retinal surgery which has been one of the aims of my recent sabbatical visit to the States. The Hereford Times, our local newspaper, carried a great story about Elliot a 4 year old black Labrador, an army sniffer dog, who had his sight restored following cataract surgery. Many local people were involved in the build of our hospital, many driving passed in their day to day travels, so it is nice to be able to keep them informed of the work we do. To read the story click here. My special thanks to our team. Our continued aim is to provide a first class ophthalmology service for you and your clients. On our teams behalf I wish you all a very happy and successful 2005. Best wishes Paul Evans
