Where to find us
The clinic is situated at The Veterinary Eye Hospital, just off the A49 at Marlbrook about three miles south of Leominster in Herefordshire. We are about twenty minutes by car from Hereford, just over an hour from Gloucester, an hour from Worcester, an hour and a half from Birmingham, and an hour and a quarter from Shrewsbury. All the roads in this area are wiggly and so map distances are always deceptive. See below for more detailed directions.

Details and maps of our clinics can be found by clicking on the relevant clinic name below.

We have lots of tourist information at the clinic if you are dropping off your pet and collecting later, and there are lots of pubs offering food and also restaurants in the area.

Please remember that we are a referral practice only and so cannot see any animal unless they have been seen first by your own vet. We have taken referrals from about a quarter of the general practices in the UK and so most in the midlands and south west of the country already have contact with us.

Detailed directions

The Animal Eye Hospital is approximately 3 miles south of Leominster, Herefordshire, just off the Marlbrook roundabout, diagonally opposite to Cadbury’s chocolate factory. Do NOT set your Satnav to Cadbury’s World, which is in Birmingham as we are in Herefordshire!  The entrance to the hospital is on the “old” road, B4361, to Leominster, immediately on the left as you turn off the roundabout.

From the south approach Marlbrook on the A49 from Hereford. After descending Dinmore Hill, go 1/3 mile past the Esso garage and Little Chef to the Marlbrook roundabout and turn left to Leominster and immediately left into the Hospital.

From the west go to Leominster and turn south on the B4361 towards Hereford. Three miles on you will cross a bridge on a bend after which the hospital will be immediately in front of you at the bottom of the slight hill on the right (beware traffic on your left coming from the roundabout when turning right into the hospital entrance).

From the north Marlbrook is approximately three miles south of Leominster on the A49. Leominster is now by-passed by the A49, so north of the town you need to follow signs for Hereford A49. Continue south on the A49 at the next roundabout for a further three miles until you reach the Marlbrook roundabout with Cadbury’s on your left. Turn right to Leominster and immediately left into the hospital.

From the east or the southeast – from the junction of the A438 and the A417, which is the Trumpet Inn crossroads, take the A417 in the direction of Leominster. Turn right on to the A49 opposite the Esso garage and left at Marlbrook roundabout and immediately left into the hospital.
