Kate Spitzmaul
Kate joined Eye Veterinary Clinic in 2007 as a locum and started working at the clinic full time in 2014. She previously spent time in equine practice and busy orthopaedic and multi-discipline referral practices and spent several years living and travelling in South Africa. Kate manages the day-to-day organisation of the nursing staff and the theatre work, alongside the increasingly complex task of completing the insurance forms for the practice.
Kate’s interests out of work mainly involve looking after and competing her ex-racehorse Rolo, as well as travelling, photography and art.

What wonderful staff my little mate who has been blind for 5 weeks was with them on Wednesday for his operation, after 5 very stressful, weeks for him and even for stressful for me, this morning I believe he can now see me again he woke this morning eyes wide open and a lovely sparkle in his face and I swear he was grinning at me I can’t thank John, Karen and the brilliant nurses and staff enough.

Can’t thank everyone here enough for everything they have done for Marley. He went blind just over a month ago with diabetic cataracts in both eyes, he is only 3. Ramona has been amazing from his first assessment all the way to his surgery yesterday. We will be forever grateful to you for giving him his sight back. Amazing practice and amazing people!

Would highly recommend! We had 3 visits and everytime they were really thorough and explained everything carefully to us and we felt that the health and wellbeing of our dog was their top priority.
