Ramona Allen
Ramona joined the Eye Veterinary Clinic in 2021. Ramona graduated as a vet in South Africa in 2012, after which she worked in a busy small animal practice for four years before joining the Johannesburg Animal Eye Hospital where she completed a residency in veterinary ophthalmology. When not looking at animal eyes, Ramona loves running, cooking, travelling and listening to music. Ramona is pictured with her Cocker Spaniel ‘Frankie’ who has come with Ramona from South Africa!

What wonderful staff my little mate who has been blind for 5 weeks was with them on Wednesday for his operation, after 5 very stressful, weeks for him and even for stressful for me, this morning I believe he can now see me again he woke this morning eyes wide open and a lovely sparkle in his face and I swear he was grinning at me I can’t thank John, Karen and the brilliant nurses and staff enough.

Can’t thank everyone here enough for everything they have done for Marley. He went blind just over a month ago with diabetic cataracts in both eyes, he is only 3. Ramona has been amazing from his first assessment all the way to his surgery yesterday. We will be forever grateful to you for giving him his sight back. Amazing practice and amazing people!

Would highly recommend! We had 3 visits and everytime they were really thorough and explained everything carefully to us and we felt that the health and wellbeing of our dog was their top priority.
